What is the procedure?<\/h4>\n

Initially, excess fat is removed only through liposuction with a small 1cm incision under the chin. If there is no initial skin laxity after liposuction, skin removal is not required because the skin shrinks into the new neck angle. If there are vertical muscle bands, these disappear either with liposuction if they are thin or by making an incision in the crease just below the chin. Through this approach, we achieve two things: firstly, we eliminate the muscle bands by bringing them together at the center of the neck, and secondly, by lifting the skin from the muscles, we improve the horizontal neck wrinkles.<\/p>\n

What about recovery?<\/h4>\n

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and sedation and does not require an overnight stay at the clinic. Antibiotic pills and anti-inflammatory medication are administered for 24 hours. The procedure is not dangerous; if sutures are used, they are removed in one week. We apply neck bandaging for 2 days.
