What is acne treatment?
Acne causes stress whether you are a teenager or an adult. It can be caused by high levels of bacteria, hormonal changes, stress, or simply as a reaction to environmental conditions.
What Does the Treatment Include?
Excel Medi Spa’s approach is very specific. Acne treatment will initially involve a detailed history and analysis of the skin, followed by deep cleansing, exfoliation/chemical peeling, sebum extraction, and a detoxifying mask to help remove impurities. Further treatments, either with the aesthetic or medical team, which includes a dermatologist and plastic surgeon, such as a series of chemical peels and/or laser treatments, will be recommended alongside the use of skin care products at home.
What are the contraindications for this treatment?
If you are under the care of a dermatologist and are taking vitamin A orally, deep facial cleansing, chemical peels, and laser treatments for at least 6 months after completing the medication treatment recommended by your dermatologist. If you use topical retinoids, it is recommended that you discontinue use of these products for 4 to 5 days prior to treatment and inform your aesthetician before starting treatment.
How will I feel after treatment?
You will be able to resume your normal activities immediately afterwards. Your skin may experience slight irritation, but this can be covered with mineral makeup. We will perform a three-minute application of Jane Iredale mineral makeup. Note: Even men feel comfortable wearing mineral metal foundations because they are not visible. A home maintenance treatment with the appropriate products is also recommended.
