Procedure
Dr. Stamatiou has been performing this procedure since 1998 in the U.S.A. In each breast an incision of 1 cm. in length is needed.Using tumescent technique and UAL (Ultrasound assisted liposuction) he is able to reduce the size of the breast by removing only fat, and leaving the breast gland intact. Due to the elasticity of the skin, the skin contracts and "readjusts" to the new breast size. Using this technique, Dr. Stamatiou is able to remove an average of 600 cc. of fat from each breast leaving the gland intact. After the procedure, when the swelling subsides the skin contracts and nipple elevation ranging from 2-10 cm. is possible. This nipple elevation is seen in all the procedures but the degree depends of the elasticity of the skin.
